December’s 2023 edition of what I was eating will be different.
Usually, I share:
- What foods I ate.
- What may have changed.
And you can see a consistency as far as what is working for me.
This keeps the same process but from a different point of view.
Foods Theo J Ellis Eats December 2023:
1. Turkish Cheese (Peynir)
Turkish cheese is nice. Good alternative to the more typical cheeses and it has its own nutritional profile.
It’s not overpowering in taste, but there are variaitons.

2. Fresh tomatoes
Nightshade vegetables are off-limits for those with H.S., but as I’ll point out in a separate article, it depends on your country of residence.
I like how I can eat this food freely in other countries, which means it’s not inherently bad.
3. Tereyagi (Turkish Butter)
Tereyagi (butter in Turkey) is very fresh.
All of the variations of butter are like this. There is no exception to this rule, meaning more nutrition, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, and all the good stuff.

4. Liver
With vitamin C, and every other vitamin or mineral, the liver will never leave my plate.
Especially when it tastes this good. It’s called Ciger in Turkey.
5. Organic milk
The surprising thing about drinking milk in other countries like Turkey is the fact it doesn’t make flareup in the slightest.
Even regular milk.
The milk can also have more fat than sugar.
6. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Greece, Turkey, and many other places have the best olive oil going. Turkey is no different in this context.
It’s heaven on a plate.
7. Mackerel
The mackerel is fresh enough that there are bones in the food, so you have to be careful to take them out.
This is always my number 1 fish to eat no matter where I travel in the world.
8. Mussels
500-500g bag of mussels. I eat these in one go, and they’ve been helpful in making me much healthier.
Not too much difference in taste if we compare by country.

9. Prawns
Prawns are a staple no matter where you go, and will always be healthy.
While the difference isn’t staggering, the freshness was good and it comes in 500g bags.
10. Anchovies
I never eat anchovies in the UK because of how horrible they taste and the amount of salt that’s loaded on it.
It’s always better from countries who prioritize fresh fish.
11. Eggs
Here there are 15 eggs in one pack, and all the eggs are WHITE despite being chicken eggs.
This is how you know the quality is on point, though that’s not to say that all the quality eggs in Turkey are white shelled.
12. Beef
Beef has never tasted so good.
When you realize how good beef is in countries outside the west, you’ll wonder what they’re putting in your food and how long they’ve been doing it unethically.
13. Chicken
Chicken tastes so much better overseas across multiple countries compared to the west, and Turkey’s Izmir chicken is one example.
This is the real deal.
14. Grana Padano
The BEST cheese I’ve had so far and their nuttion is out of this world for cheese.
I’ll do a whole article on this Greek cheese. You pay a premium for this kind of quality.
15. Oranges (from a tree)
Picking oranges from a tree and getting it from nature makes a world of difference.
I don’t flare up, no spots, no H.S., no whiteheads – no bullshit at all. That’s because there is no pesticide, etc, and all the other junk fruits are sprayed with in Western cultures.
Foods Theo J Ellis ate less often Sep 2023:
Vegetables
Aside from Tomatoes, I ate Broccoli, carrots, sweet peppers, cauliflower, and that’s pretty much it.
No flare-ups, no issues. I enjoyed it for once.
Conclusion
Where your food comes from is the battle cry as always.
If you get it as close to nature as possible, it will always be good. And my diet in 2024 may change slightly as a result until I find my perfect diet.
